Tonight's Governing Board Meeting celebrated our "Students of Excellence". These students, from various schools in the district, were celebrated for perfect scores in math & the highest scale scores in English Language Arts on the Arizona Academic Standards Assessment.

Today was Governing Board Showcase Day at Scott Libby Elementary School. Principal Kara Fox & her team did an exceptional job hosting Governing Board President Melissa Zuidema, Board Members Kimberly Moran, Danielle Clymer, Ryan Owens. Along with Superintendent Davidson & Executive Team members, the group was able to see first hand all the incredible work happening at Scott Libby. !

A proud & honorable moment for the Litchfield Elementary Flag Raising Team as they led the Pledge of Allegiance at the honorary flag ceremony for the US Air Force at City of Litchfield Park City Hall earlier this week. Mayor Schoaf led the ceremonious honor.

Chef Ron was awarded a proclamation from Mayor Schoaf at tonight’s Litchfield Park city council meeting proclaiming October 9-13 National School Lunch Week. Chef Ron has elevated the quality of school lunches for our students.

Litchfield Elementary School District is partnering with Luke Airforce Base for the launch of the Purple Star School Initiative. The Purple Star School initiative is designed to help schools respond to the educational and social-emotional challenges military-connected children face during their transition to a new school.

Superintendent Davidson is excited to be one of the four school districts in Arizona to be a part of this pilot program, along with Agua Fria High School District, Great Hearts Academy, and Dystart Unified School District.
