In a culture that constantly tells us to want more, G.K. Chesterton offers a radically different idea: perhaps having “enough” has less to do with what we possess and more to do with what we desire.

Contentment is not the absence of ambition, but the ability to recognize what is truly worth pursuing. When our desires are ordered toward what is good—toward faith, wisdom, virtue, friendship, and love—we begin to understand that a full life cannot be measured simply by how much we accumulate.

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, education is about forming not only the intellect, but the desires of the heart. We want our students to learn to distinguish between what the world tells them to want and what is genuinely worth wanting.

Because sometimes the path to having more begins with learning to need less.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Teresa of Calcutta, whose life reminds us that holiness is often found in the smallest acts of love.

Mother Teresa saw Christ in every person she encountered, especially the poor, the forgotten, and the suffering. Her witness challenges us to look beyond ourselves and recognize that a life of greatness is ultimately a life given in service to others.

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, we seek to form students not only in knowledge, but in virtue—young men and women who recognize the dignity of every person and understand that their gifts are meant to be placed at the service of God and neighbor.

May St. Teresa inspire us to love generously, serve joyfully, and remain faithful to Christ in the ordinary moments of each day.

St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, we believe education should prepare young people not only for what they will do, but for who they are called to be.

Through a rigorous classical liberal arts curriculum rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition, students are invited to wrestle with great ideas, grow in wisdom and virtue, deepen their faith, and discover the enduring beauty of truth. In the classroom, at daily Mass, on the athletic field, on the stage, and within a joyful community of peers and teachers, we seek to form the whole person.

For families looking for an education where faith and reason belong together, academic excellence serves a greater purpose, and your child is known, challenged, and encouraged to grow in holiness, we invite you to discover Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family.

Our admissions journey begins this fall, with opportunities to visit, attend an Open House, and experience our community firsthand before applications open in October.

Your child’s high school years matter. Come discover an education ordered toward what lasts.

Truth asks us to see the whole picture.

G.K. Chesterton understood how easily a fragment of truth can become misleading when separated from everything that gives it meaning. A half-truth can sound convincing precisely because part of it is true—but wisdom requires us to look further, ask better questions, and seek truth in its fullness.

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, students are taught not simply what to think, but how to think carefully and honestly. Through thoughtful discussion, rigorous study, and the integration of faith and reason, they learn to pursue the whole truth rather than settle for the easiest answer.

Because the pursuit of truth is ultimately inseparable from the pursuit of a life of virtue.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Augustine, bishop, Doctor of the Church, and the patron of one of our Houses here at Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family!

St. Augustine spent years searching for truth and fulfillment before discovering that the deepest desires of the human heart can ultimately be satisfied in God alone. His conversion began a life devoted to pursuing truth, growing in wisdom, and leading others to Christ.

His example holds a special place in our school community. His relentless pursuit of truth reflects the heart of a classical Catholic education: asking great questions, forming the intellect, growing in virtue, and recognizing that all truth ultimately leads us back to God.

Happy feast day especially to our Augustine House students! May you follow your patron’s example by seeking truth with courage and always allowing that search to draw you closer to Christ.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Monica, a mother whose perseverance in prayer continues to inspire the Church centuries later.

For years, St. Monica prayed faithfully for the conversion of her son Augustine, trusting in God even when she could not yet see the fruits of those prayers. Her steadfast love reminds us of the profound influence of parents and of the power of faithfully entrusting those we love to God.

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, we are especially grateful for the parents who make countless sacrifices, offer countless prayers, and work alongside us in the formation of their children. St. Monica reminds us that this work of formation is ultimately entrusted to God and His grace.

May we never underestimate what God can accomplish through a faithful parent and a persevering prayer.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Bartholomew the Apostle, one of the Twelve chosen by Christ to carry the Gospel into the world.

His encounter with Christ transformed his life, leading him to leave behind what was familiar and courageously proclaim the faith.

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, we seek to form students with that same integrity—a love for truth that shapes not only what they know, but how they live. St. Bartholomew reminds us that discipleship calls for honesty, courage, and a willingness to follow Christ wherever He leads.

May we strive to be people of conviction whose words and actions faithfully reflect what we believe.

St. Bartholomew the Apostle, pray for us!

Today we celebrate the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

Just a week after the Solemnity of the Assumption, the Church reminds us that Mary’s queenship flows from her unique relationship with Christ the King. Yet her crown is one of humility and loving service—the same Blessed Mother who said “yes” to God, stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross, and continually points us toward her Son.

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, we look to Mary as a model of faithful discipleship and entrust our students, families, faculty, and staff to her maternal care throughout this new school year.

May Our Lady help us to follow Christ with courage, humility, and joyful trust.

Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, pray for us!
