A message from Deacon Christopher and Principal Costello who are currently in Austria:

Good morning from Melk Abbey in Austria as we start our second day at the BENET 2026 Global Conference of Benedictine educators from around the world. Our day began with Morning Prayer in the beautiful baroque architecture of the Abbey Church, where I was honored to participate in the reading of God's Word. We look forward to a day filled with knowledge sharing, best practices, workshops, prayer, and fellowship with people who share our mission of Benedictine education from across cultures, languages, and traditions.

Grüß Gott! (May God greet you and bless you this day)

On Friday night, we proudly honored the 2000 and 2001 Benet Boys Soccer Teams — the first teams in Benet history to win an IHSA State Championship. ⚽🎉

The 2000 Redwings captured the State Championship with an incredible undefeated record of 22 wins, 0 losses, and 4 ties. The following year, the 2001 Redwings proved that championship success was no fluke. They returned to the State Championship and repeated as champions, finishing the season with an impressive 18 wins, 7 losses, and 1 tie.

These teams set a standard of excellence that remains an important part of the history and tradition of Benet Athletics.
