【📢📢Pyramid Academy Spring Seminar】

【🎬Topic】Improve learning ability for better competition results
【🙎🏻Presenter】Mr. Peter Huang, PAGY Principle

【🌺Intro.】What are the challenges and difficulties of participating in various STEM competitions? Which competitions are my kids suitable for? What are the most critical skills and tips to overcome these competitions? How to plan and prepare for these competitions? What are the learning capabilities? How to improve? 🙇🏻 My child’s learning efficiency is not high, I cannot memorize the book, can I learn more effectively?
On the plane back home, I happened to come across a very effective way to improve my memory. I think this method is very useful for children who are ready to participate in the competition. So I did research and practice in the past half year and concluded a set of effective methods for reading, learning, and memorizing. I will introduce these methods to you, which could help children master the problem solving skills and knowledge needed for various competitions. Our goal is to use the same time, get better results! In addition, I will also introduce various STEM competitions, how to prepare them more efficiently with well planned timeline and study track.

【📢📢Pyramid Academy Special Seminar】

【🎬Topic】2017-2018 KWHS Investment Competition
【🙎🏻Presenter】Mr. Peter Huang, PAGY Principle

【🌺Intro.】We are excited to announce a wonderful learning and competition opportunity for students in 2017-2018, the KWHS Investment Competition organized by Wharton Business School! Here is a brief intro about the competition:

The Knowledge@Wharton High School (KWHS) Investment Competition is a free, global, online investment simulation for high school students (9th to 12th grade) and teachers. Students learn about teamwork, communication, risk, diversification, company analysis, industry analysis and investing.

Mission Statement: The KWHS Investment Competition strives to be an engaging, hands-on experience for students and educators around the world to learn about investing - from the concepts and the analysis to the teamwork and communication. Unlike other games that focus only one portfolio growth, this competition encourages students to take a more long-term approach to investing as they develop creative and sound team investment strategies and build portfolios while trading domestic and international equities in the U.S. stock market. Learn, engage and have fun!

Interested to find out more? Principle Peter Huang will hold two intro. and Q&A sessions to parents and students who are interested and talk about our plan to take students participate this wonderful event.

🎬Understand Human Learning

🙇🏻What is special about a smart brain? Can you train someone to be smarter?
💆‍♂️Why do I always make silly mistakes at a test? Can I improve it?
🤷‍♀️Why do I always perform worse than usual on important tests? How to overcome it?

During this seminar, I am going to introduce the most recent theories about our brain and use it to explain what happens in our brain when we try to learn something new or try to solve a complex problem? In addition, I will also introduce some scientifically proven ways to improve our brain's ability to learn, to solve complex problems, and to perform better on important tests.
