Beyond "do-re-mi," solfège is an incredible singing tool for mentally organizing your musical information. Musicians who use it sound better and learn music easily. In the melodic minor scale, you'll change the 6 and 7 between ascending and descending: they are raised (like major) going up, and lowered (like natural minor) going down. The 3rd will always be minor.

"Itchy Feet"

"Itchy Feet" is a fiddle tune inspired by the Québeçois, French Canadian, and New England contra dance fiddle traditions that are performed around northeastern North America. "Itchy Feet" is a reel in E natural minor. This selection is a flatpicking guitar performance in position 9. This reel can also be played in position 7 and position 1.

"Itchy Feet"

Itchy Feet is an original fiddle tune, a reel in E natural minor. It's inspired by the very energetic northeastern, Québeçois, and French Canadian fiddle tradition found in contra dances in this part of the world. Real dance fiddlers play reels much faster!
