The seniors in Interactive Technology and Emerging Media participated in mock interviews for their Senior Capstone Projects.
Thank you to Mr. Brad Stephens from the Salem Ohio Public Library for taking the time to interview the students and share professional insight with them. Experiences like this are an important part of helping students prepare for college, careers, and the expectations of the real world.
The Senior Capstone Project is a major part of our program, giving students the opportunity to apply their design, media, communication, and problem-solving skills in a meaningful final presentation of their learning.

February is Career and Technical Education Month, and we are proud to celebrate the hands-on learning happening every day in our Interactive Technology & Emerging Media program.

Live production requires precision, teamwork, and technical skill.

In our studio, students work with professional broadcasting and live-streaming tools to learn how content is produced, managed, and delivered in real time. They are developing skills that directly translate to careers in media, communications, and emerging technologies. This is hands-on learning with real-world impact.

February is Career and Technical Education Month, and we are proud to celebrate the hands-on learning happening every day in our Interactive Technology & Emerging Media program.

Our students are putting their voices to work in the studio through podcasting and audio production.

From planning and scripting to recording, editing, and publishing, students collaborate as production teams to create multi-episode podcasts using industry-standard tools and workflows.

Projects like these help students develop communication skills, technical proficiency, and creative confidence—preparing them for college, careers, and the evolving media landscape.

Happy Thanksgiving from Interactive Technology and Emerging Media. I am grateful for my students, their families, and our community who support the work happening in our lab each and every day.

Erica, a senior Interactive Technology and Emerging Media student is hard at work on her capstone project, converting her drawings from sketches to full-color illustrations using Adobe Photoshop. This capstone project is the culmination of two years of study in which students apply creativity, design principles, and technical skills to produce professional, portfolio-worthy work.

Capstone projects not only showcase each student’s individual gift but also take them on to the next adventure like college, the creative field, or launching their own brand. Follow us for more behind-the-scenes looks at student projects.

Juniors in the Interactive Technology and Emerging Media program are conducting peer critiques of their current projects. By sharing ideas and offering constructive feedback, they’re learning how professional designers collaborate to improve their work.
