Theresa Rowland is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center’s May Student of the Month!
Theresa is a senior from East Palestine High School and is enrolled in the Culinary Careers (CC) Program under the instruction of Mr. Collin Kinsey. Theresa is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter at the CCCTC. At East Palestine, she is a five year member of the color guard, and she has worked at McDonald's in East Palestine for the past two years. Theresa plans to continue working at McDonalds and looks toward advancing within the company by becoming a crew trainer so that she can be financially stable and live a comfortable lifestyle.
Theresa stated, “The CCCTC was a good choice for me because it allowed me to receive credentials and work experience early. It also allowed me to learn life skills and current events in my core classes, as well as learning teamwork and time management skills.”
Theresa was nominated by Mr. Collin Kinsey stating, “Theresa is a pleasure to have in class and her attitude, emotional intelligence, and work ethic exemplifies what it takes to be a successful culinary student. She is also able to balance school and work, showing her ability to manage her time effectively. All of these positive attributes she embodies will carry over well in any position that she will have in her career and in addition, she has the highest grade in the class and completes her work timely, diligently, and always at a high level.”
