As we end award season, we want to take a moment to celebrate our defensive captain and the heart of our team, Matt Velazquez. Matt earned First Team All-State, First Team All South Jersey, and Cape Atlantic League All-Star honors this year. While these accolades speak for themselves, what makes us most proud is the work he put in day after day throughout his entire career to become the player and leader he showed everyone he could be. Matt plays the game with passion, grit, and heart, and that commitment never went unnoticed. Matt has committed to continue his soccer career at Rutgers Camden this coming fall. We are beyond proud and excited for what’s next. Congratulations, Matt!
