Our third through fifth graders had an incredible day of learning at Bay City State Park!

The students started their morning learning about the native vertebrates of Michigan and getting an up-close look at the live animals of Tobico Marsh. They then split up for a morning of outdoor adventure, with some practicing their precision at archery.
They also experienced hands-on pond dipping exploration and wrapped up the field trip as wildlife scientists in a mammal skull identification lab.
A huge thank you to the park staff and our amazing chaperones for making this unforgettable hands-on science adventure possible!

We’ve been “mixing it up” in our 5th grade science unit and things just got explosive! Today, our classroom turned into a chemistry lab as we mixed baking soda and vinegar to witness a real chemical reaction. The students loved watching the solid and liquid completely transform into a fizzing eruption of carbon dioxide gas bubbles!

What’s in the Bag? 👀👀👀
Ms. Abbe’s 4th grade class had a fun day sharing special items they brought from home with their classmates!
Each student had the opportunity to tell a little about each item they brought and why it was meaningful to them.
It was wonderful seeing their excitement, confidence, and curiosity as they learned more about one another.
These Lions made sharing their treasures a ROARING good time!! 🎉❤️🤍🦁
