Introduction to Classical Guitar
For Teens and Adults
8 week course, 45 minutes per week…..just $240.

Do you enjoy listening to classical music?
Have you ever thought that learning classical guitar would benefit and expand any prior experience that you may have on the guitar?
Even if your guitar playing is very limited, our Chris Moody knows how to help you learn in a careful and informative way!
No prior guitar experience is necessary.
Objectives :
~By the end of the course, the student will be able to play simple solo and ensemble pieces with technical security and musicality
~The student will have an awareness of the history and key repertoire forthe instrument
~The student will understand and be able to use the key pieces of equipment relating to the instrument

Materials Needed:
(available for purchase at Northern Pine Studios)
1.Good playable and tunable nylon string classical guitar
2. “A Modern Approach to Classical Guitar Playing”
by Charles Duncan (book)
3. A footrest/guitar support 4.Guitar Tuner
Optional Items: ~~ Metronome ~~Nail file ~~Full length mirror

Hello Everyone! We just wanted to let you in on something new and probably overdue. This Fall 2024, Northern Pine will be offering a Beginning Classical Guitar (8 week course) for Teens and Adults. This special class will be taught by our own Chris Moody. NO GUITAR PLAYING EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

Northern Pine Studios is pleased to announce Marlys Ge**er as our newest piano instructor. “Playing piano is my passion and gift and teaching piano is part of it,” writes Marlys. Returning back to Minnesota from 20+ years living in California (8 years as a piano teacher in Monterey), Ms Ge**er is excited to share her musical talents here soon.
“I grew up in the midwest and Canada and lived in Minneapolis for many years,” states Marlys. From the age of 5 through her college years, playing piano was a large part of her youth. Marlys studied music theory and music performance at Northwestern College ( currently University of Northwestern-St Paul) With plenty of experience teaching, performing in college music groups, church worship teams, and other events and venues, Marlys Ge**er will be a marvelous addition to our piano staff. Ms Ge**er told us, “ I look forward to teaching students and adults at Northern Pine Studios! “
