CMCA Osage County Head Start Serves birth to 5 years old with Center Based Preschool Program and Home Based Infant/Toddler Prenat What is School readiness? We take state childcare subsidy.

Linn Head Start is a program that gets your child ready for Kindergarten. Teachers facilitate individualized learning experiences to promote children’s readiness for School and beyond. Children receive health and development screenings, nutritious meals, oral health and mental health support. Program support and strengthen parent-child relationships and engage families around children’s learning a

nd development. The Office of Head Start defines school readiness as children being ready for school, families ready to support their children’s learning, and schools ready for the children who enter their doors. Osage County has both Head Start and Early Head Start. Head Start serves 3 to 5 year olds in Linn which runs Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00pm, August thru May. Our price is $55.00 per child per week. Early Head Start serves pregnant women thru 3 years old which is year round and consists of two home visitors that visit your child for 1 ½ hours a week. They help families care for their infants and toddlers through early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive services. (Information from Office of Head Start). Bingos for Babies is a fundraising event that supports Central Missouri Community Action’s WIRF program! The women and infant relief fund is used to provide crisis items to Head Start and Homebase families all over Central Missouri including women and children in Osage County as well! Some of the things that we can help families with are diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, car seats, etc… If you are willing to donate a silent auction item or if you would like to become a sponsor of the event, please check out the flyers below!!
