🎉🤠 Happy 82nd Birthday, ACA!
On this day in 1944, 60 cattlemen and county Extension agents gathered in Demopolis, AL, to form a “working” cattlemen’s association for the benefit of all Alabama cattle producers. They decided to set aside the Alabama Livestock Growers Association (ALGA) in favor of a new organization with a fresh name— what we now know as the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association. From there, the ACA blossomed.
