Smoky Valley Community Foundation is excited to have awarded grant funding to Bethany Lutheran Church to bring two valuable trainings to our community:

🧠 Youth Mental Health First Aid Class
💬 Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Community Class

These important programs are designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to recognize, understand, and respond to mental health challenges and crisis situations, especially among our youth.
By offering these trainings, we hope to strengthen support systems, foster compassion, and empower our community to care for one another in meaningful ways. 💙

ABC Awards:
•130 students met Q4 Attendance, Behavior, and Classwork (ABC) Expectations for Success! They were all awarded coupons for a free cotton candy at So Sweetish and a free 32oz fountain drink at Casey's! Thanks, Judy and Molly, for teaming up with us! Of course, we drew for our custom Nike Dunk winners next. Congratulations to Hadlei Carey and Jasper Jester!

•46 kids met all four quarters of ABC! Of those 46, some big ticket prizes were up for grabs! Pictured below are the winners who were drawn from the 46!

👟Track and Field:
🎖️14 league champs, 4 league records, 9 school records

🎾Tennis:
🥇A great season— with the highlight being girls winning the year-end 🏆Invitational Championship🏆against McPherson, Hesston, Hutch Trinity, Great Bend, Ellinwood; Ellsworth, Lyons, and Sterling

🎺7/8 Band:
CKL Superior 1 ratings from all three judges! All solos also rated 1 (superior) and 2 (excellent)!

🎻7/8 Orchestra:
CKL Superior 1 ratings from all three judges! All 14 solos earned 1 ratings while 5 of 6 ensembles earned 1 ratings— with one 2 (excellent) rating.

🎤7/8 Choir:
CKL Superior 1 ratings. Four (Rhylen Rawson, Alden Peterson, Aleea Davis, and Sidney Adams) kids qualified for Middle Level State Choir for which 1,000 audition and 250 are chose across the state. Congratulations!
