Children aren't 'attention seeking', they are 'connection seeking'.
Humans are a social species the same as horses and dogs, chimps and dolphins, and social species CONNECT. That's how they make and maintain their social bonds, social awareness and social well being. Because we are the species with a complex spoken language, listening is one of the major ways we connect. Give the people in your life the gift of connection by listening to them.
