🎃 We had a pumpkin-packed week in preschool! 🎃

We wrapped up assessments, explored pumpkins in our sensory table, and learned all about how they grow! The kids loved our stories Spookley the Square Pumpkin, Pumpkin Circle, and Pumpkin Jack.

We also had fun celebrating Letter D Day with doughnuts and dotter painting! 🍩🎨

To end the week, we explored the inside of a real pumpkin and made pumpkin part crafts — such a fun and messy activity! 🎃✨

We’re so proud of all their hard work and can’t wait for more Halloween fun next week! 👻🧡

This week was full of fall fun! 🍁 We explored leaves, made shape scarecrows, learned about emotions with pumpkin pie playdough, and wrapped up the week with squirrel-themed activities. We also practiced the letter C with lots of creative hands-on projects!

🖤 What a fun and busy week! 🖤
We met a real police officer, did a Humpty Dumpty science experiment, painted with bubble wrap for letter B, and even helped spiders catch bugs in the sensory table!
Friends are working hard on writing their names and earning a turn in the prize box — such excitement!

🍎 This week was all about the Letter "A" and APPLES! 🍏
We learned the parts of an apple, took a virtual orchard tour, painted with apples, graphed the letter A, taste-tested apples (red was the winner!), and even investigated apples we brought from home before enjoying them for snack. On Friday, we wrapped up with a shape hunt, Q-tip painting, and a fun Friday Freeze Dance!

We wrapped up our colors unit this week with so many fun activities! From purple grapes and Harold and the Purple Crayon, to flamingos on pink day, to opposite dogs from Harry the Dirty Dog, to colorful Elmer on gray day, and a torn-paper Brown Bear on brown day.

We even got to cheer on the middle schoolers at the start of their 24 Hour Challenge—the kids loved seeing the “big kids” in action!

This week our preschoolers had so much fun exploring color mixing! Together and individually, we experimented with blending colors to see what new shades we could create. The children loved watching the magic happen as colors changed right before their eyes!

What a wonderful first week back at Red Apple! We spent time learning our routines, talking about kindness, making new friends and even signing a special “classroom contract.” We had fun making paper dolls of themselves, working on “just a dot, not a lot” papers, and enjoying playtime outside, in the gym, and with playdough. A big thank you to all the families who came out for our Back-to-School Splash Pad event! We loved seeing and meeting everyone splashing, laughing, and making memories together before the new school year begins. I didn’t get many pictures until the end, but here are a few we were able to capture.
