Mrs. Hope and Mrs. Mary had fun these past two days teaching the 4-H Fall Cooking Camp! Our participants had the opportunity to learn important kitchen and food safety skills while preparing some tasty fall-inspired recipes. We also want to thank 4-H Member Sasha Moore who assisted us on the first day.
Day One:
We made chicken pot pie and pumpkin muffins using fresh, homegrown pumpkins! Participants learned how to cut and prepare fresh pumpkins and make their own pumpkin puree. We also enjoyed tasting some refreshing apple c***r!
Day Two:
We made a hearty turkey soup with beans and spinach, followed by delicious apple crisps for dessert. 🍎
If there is enough interest we plan to teach another two day cooking camp on the Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving Break.
