It’s that time of year again—the school year is starting back up, and in-service training is in full swing.

After a summer spent training the various layers of active threat response teams across our state, we wrapped up our summer schedule working with school districts across East Texas on Emergency Protocols & Stop The Bleed.

Keeping our students and staff safe takes more than one person, one position, or one solution. It takes multiple layers of preparedness, communication, response, and training together.

There is no single answer to school safety. Preparedness is built through every layer of the response and we are honored to get to be a part.

Over the past few days, we had the privilege of training another dedicated House of Worship Safety Team in "good ole" San Antonio.

This outstanding group of men is laying the foundation for a strong, capable security ministry while building valuable partnerships with local law enforcement. Their commitment to protecting their congregation, serving with excellence, and continually improving was evident throughout the training.

The hospitality they showed was second to none, and we are honored to play a small role in helping equip them for the responsibility they've accepted. We look forward to returning and continuing to build on this foundation together.

Protecting the vulnerable requires preparation, commitment, and purpose—and this team embodies all three.

Along with our valuable role players, we wrapped up a busy summer season of Active Threat Response training with school districts across North, East, and Central Texas.

Guardians, Marshals, LEOs, and private security professionals all play a valuable role in the safety and security of our campuses. Bringing these groups together to train, communicate, and work through realistic scenarios is critical to building a prepared and coordinated response.

It was an honor to finish our summer training today with candidates hosted and organized by the Region 7 School Safety Center. Their team is an amazing group of professionals who genuinely want to help their districts become safer, more secure environments for the kids they serve.

We are proud to be part of the mission and grateful for every district, instructor, role player, and responder who invested their time this summer to Train With A Purpose.

In the midst of an active training season focused on active-shooters and range training, we were honored to spend time again with a church safety team for a refresher training.

Effective church safety is about far more than simply being armed and present. It requires preparation, communication, medical capability, sound decision-making, and a team that understands how to respond as one when the unexpected happens.

More scenario-based training this week with the 10th School Guardian/LEO team of the summer.

As the new school year approaches, we're working through realistic, high-stress scenarios to sharpen decision-making, communication, teamwork, and rapid response. Preparation isn't just checking a box—it's about building confidence and competence before it's needed.

Church Safety is far more than carrying a gun and standing at a door.

Effective protection requires a layered security approach, threat recognition, strong communication, disciplined protocols, and a team capable of making sound decisions under stress. It demands vigilance, situational awareness, and the ability to respond rapidly and decisively when seconds matter.

Today's training challenged this team to examine vulnerabilities, identify gaps, and validate existing strengths. The objective is never to check a box—it's to build a security ministry that can deter threats, detect problems early, delay hostile actions, and respond effectively when lives are on the line.

The strongest safety teams are not defined by the equipment they carry, but by the preparation, training, and teamwork they demonstrate before an incident ever occurs.

We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside this team and help sharpen their capabilities as they continue their mission of protecting their congregation, staff, and guests.

For the 12th year, we had the privilege of hosting our Annual Outdoor Skills Camp for kids.

Throughout the camp, participants learned practical, hands-on skills including:

• Natural shelter construction and site selection
• Fire building and fire safety
• Water procurement and purification
• Essential knots
• Emergency aid
• Fi****ms and knife safety
• Situational awareness
• Fishing fundamentals
• Kayaking and canoeing

In a world increasingly focused on convenience, technology, and instant solutions, these are the types of skills that build confidence, self-reliance, critical thinking, and preparedness.

Most importantly, the kids stepped away from screens, got outdoors, challenged themselves, and learned skills that could serve them for a lifetime.

A huge thank you to our instructors, volunteers, and support team. This camp would not be possible without your dedication and commitment to investing in the next generation.

We had an absolute blast and are already looking forward to next year.
