Starting the school year by making a difference!

Last weekend, nine sophomores, led by Eddy Talucci, participated in a Student Sleep Out in Spring Lake and raised more than $5,500 for Covenant House New Jersey.

These young men are living out what it means to be other-centered, putting service and compassion into action.

The Class of 2030 is off to a fast start with the Freshman Run and Field Day!

In the 67th edition of the Heath Freshman Run, nearly 250 young Colts raced around campus, just like every new class has since our Academy was founded. The goals of the Run mimic traits found throughout a CBA career: work hard, come together for a common purpose, and enjoy the uniqueness that comes with being an Academy man. Congratulations to Finn Smith on winning this year's race as legendary coach Tom Heath looked on!

The annual field day events followed as our freshmen participated in team-building games with their homerooms. The energy from this class was obvious from the start and we're excited to watch them grow throughout their time at CBA.

Here's to an excellent freshman year!

What a night with earlier this week as he kicked off his nationwide book tour at the Academy!

Chris Bennett β€˜94, joined by his wife (and awesome program moderator) Tammie, sat down for a chat about his brand-new book, π™π™π™žπ™¨ 𝙄𝙨 π˜Όπ™—π™€π™ͺ𝙩 𝙍π™ͺπ™£π™£π™žπ™£π™œ. π™π™π™žπ™¨ 𝙄𝙨 𝙉𝙀𝙩 π˜Όπ™—π™€π™ͺ𝙩 𝙍π™ͺπ™£π™£π™žπ™£π™œ.

The Nike Running Global Head Coach β€” and one-time CBA history teacher & cross country coach β€” discussed his coaching philosophy, why running is a practice of β€œshowing up and moving forward,” and how extraordinary things can happen if you take the first step.

Members of the CBA community shared some of their favorite excerpts, while describing how they’ve applied the lessons to their own lives. Bennett even surprised the CBA cross country team with new alternate singlets from Nike.

A huge thank you to Coach Bennett for choosing CBA to embark on this new β€œchapter” as a published author!

We’re closing out our summer series with the second half of the year for the Class of 2027. From memorable traditions to exciting events, it was a special year for these young men as their legacy on campus continued to grow.

It was another great week of Application Academy.

Our rising seniors continued working on their college essays and applications while meeting with admissions representatives from Fordham, Ithaca, Manhattan University, Monmouth, Stevens Institute of Technology, Minnesota, and South Carolina.

As they begin the college application process, our students are taking important steps toward their next chapter and educational journey.

The final Summer Service Night was another success!

Our students donated baby essentials, including diapers, wipes, and formula to the People’s Pantry in Asbury Park. Heather Egan from People's Pantry also stopped by to speak about the organization's mission and the impact of their service.

We’re proud of our students for giving back to their local community throughout the summer and grateful to Mr. Butler for organizing these service nights.
