International Career Institute’s Practical Nursing Program may be the right one for you! International Career Institute (ICI) School of Nursing was founded in February 2007 by a group of nurses and educators who shared and embraced a passion for education. Their mission was to create a school that would inspire students to better improve the Field of Nursing. ICI offers the PN program and its Pre-
requisites with the purpose of producing highly competent and professional Practical Nurses who will be ready to offer nursing care to the residents of Chicago land area. This program includes lectures, discussions, demonstrations, laboratory practice, and off-site clinical. If you are a people person and enjoy caring for others, ICI believes Practical Nursing could be the field for you. Nursing courses provide basic knowledge and skills in the medical-surgical, pharmacology, mental health, nutrition & diet, child health, maternal & newborn nursing areas. Courses also consist of focus on care giving, communication, teaching, professional, and managerial roles. Local health facilities provide the opportunity to participate in supervised clinical experience. Your acceptance to the PN program at ICI is contingent upon successful completion of a nursing program admissions exam. In addition, you must have a high school diploma / GED, academic evaluation, completion of Pre-requisites, academic interview and orientation. We offer online pre-requisite classes; applicants enrolled in these pre-requisite courses must maintain a grade of “C” or higher in order to apply to the PN program.
