That's a wrap on our very first Faith That Leads Summer Horsemanship Program. 🤍🐴

Today was the grand finale, and what a beautiful way to end an unforgettable month.

Throughout this program we learned that horses have so much to teach us—not just about riding, but about life. We talked about trust, responsibility, rhythm, and finally the Fruits of the Spirit, discovering that becoming a better equestrian starts with becoming a person of character.

My prayer has always been that these children would leave with more than riding skills. I hope they leave knowing that God leads us with the same patience, gentleness, faithfulness, and love that we strive to show our horses.

Watching them grow each week has been one of the greatest blessings. Beginners learned to groom, tack up, steer, post the trot, care for horses, and most importantly, encourage one another. They came as students, but they leave as a little barn family.

To every parent who trusted us, every helper who served with a joyful heart, and every child who showed up ready to learn—thank you. You made this first summer program more special than I could have imagined.

This won't be the end. The barn has so many more adventures ahead, and I can't wait to see where God leads us next.

Week 3 of our Faith That Leads Horsemanship Program was all about finding rhythm!

We learned that horses thrive on rhythm and consistency. Whether we're posting the trot, riding a pattern, or simply walking beside a horse, rhythm helps create confidence, communication, and trust.

We also talked about how God designed us to live with rhythm too—not rushing ahead, falling behind, or getting overwhelmed, but staying in step with Him.

Our campers created their own hobby horses complete with unique coat colors and facial markings, practiced learning and riding the trot, and put their new creations to the test in a hobby horse tournament full of laughter and friendly competition!

During our devotional, we learned about Mary and Martha. Martha was busy working hard, while Mary chose to sit and spend time with Jesus. We talked about how work and responsibility are important, but if we're not careful, we can become so focused on doing more that we neglect the relationships that matter most. Just like with our horses, a strong relationship isn't built by rushing through tasks—it's built by slowing down, being present, and spending time together.

Watching these kids grow in confidence, horsemanship, faith, and friendship each week has been such a blessing.
