West Lincoln High School Barn Grand Opening Rescheduled for October 24
Due to projected extreme heat and potential storms, the grand opening and ribbon-cutting for the new West Lincoln High School Barn have been rescheduled from Saturday, August 22, to Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The decision to move the event was made with the safety and comfort of students, staff, families, and community members in mind.
The community is invited to join West Lincoln High School in celebrating this exciting new chapter for the school. The free event will take place at the WLHS Barn, located at the end of the drive to the West Lincoln High School track.
NEW DATE: Saturday, October 24, 2026
Time: 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Ribbon Cutting: 5:30 p.m.
The grand opening is designed as a community celebration, with activities planned for all ages. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
The event will include:
A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.
Tours of the new barn
Live music
Food trucks
Hay rides
Games and more
Free commemorative T-shirts for the first 200 attendees
The new WLHS Barn represents an opportunity to build tradition, community, and the future at West Lincoln High School.
Lincoln County Schools and West Lincoln High School look forward to welcoming students, families, alumni, and community members on October 24 to celebrate the opening of this new facility.
