May 1st, 2026, we had our very last rifle meet with Commander Smith before he retires. The invitational rifle meet for the top 10 teams in the area was held at Daniel boon high school in Gray Tennessee. Everyone who participated tried their best and some cadets received awards for their outstanding achievements. We then stopped and ate bojangles on our way back to school, arriving back at school around 3:45 PM. We had an amazing time and finished the year off strong!!

April 24, 2026, JROTC took a field trip and toured Western Carolina University and its beautiful scenery. After an amazing tour, lead by two young students, we ate lunch at the university and then headed to go white water rafting. We are then split into 3 groups where we all have an amazing time meeting new people, communicating, enjoying the view and you can’t forget FREEZING! This was an amazing experience for everyone involved and if you ever get the chance to go, I recommend taking it!

Last night, April 21st, our color guard proudly presented the colors at the West Lincoln vs. East Gaston baseball game. It was commanded by Jamie McIntyre, with assistance from Clay Williams, and siblings Destiny and Dustin Harrelson.
