5 Ways Responsible Gun Owners Manage Risk Without Firing a Shot
If your firearm is your only personal-safety plan, you don't have enough options.
Here are five ways responsible gun owners manage risk without ever pulling the trigger.
One: Awareness. Notice problems early enough to do something about them.
Two: Avoidance. Walking away isn't losing. Getting home safely is winning.
Three: Know the law. Carrying a firearm comes with responsibilities. Understand where you can carry and when force may legally be justified.
Four: Secure your firearm. Preventing unauthorized access is part of responsible ownership.
And five: Have a plan. Know your exits, have emergency contacts, and think through problems before you're under stress.
Marksmanship matters, but you'll use good judgment far more often than you'll ever use your firearm.
That's why I teach concealed carriers to think like risk managers, not gunfighters. Sign up for a class at www.FirearmMentor.com/classes
The firearm is the last contingency, not the first solution.
Remain Safe. Stay Sharp. Train for the Moment that Matters.
