Stevenson High School Color Guard 2016-2018

This past weekend the Winter Guard programs attended the Midwest Color Guard Circuit Championships in Laporte Indiana and had a HUGELY successful weekend! The Varsity team finished 4th out of 19 units in the SA class ranking among the top national units in the competition. The JV team took home the gold medal in the Czapinski Division of the SRA class. We are so extremely proud of both units and happy to see their hard work pay off! Thank you to all the parents who helped build, sew, chaperone, organize, and cook for these kids! We could not have done any of this without you!

Both JV and Varsity teams are off to our last performances at the Midwest Color Guard Circuit Championships! We look forward to seeing all the other teams, friends and parents from the season and hope to finish strong! Good luck to these 24 lovely ladies!

We enjoyed meeting all of the students interested in Color Guard last night at the Co-Curricular Fair! This coming season is going to be amazing! If you have not yet heard or seen the news, The Varsity Winter Guard had a hugely successful weekend! We clocked in about 13 hours on the road and the team pushed through like true professionals! Not only did they compete against 32 units at the St. Louis Regional to make it into Finals for a second run, but they placed 1st in the Scholastic A Class with the highest score of the entire day, an 85.13! After traveling home through the night and waking up early for a THIRD performance of the weekend they also took home the first place prize at the Schaumburg HS Competition! We could not be more proud of the accomplishments of the team and can not wait to finish out the remaining 3 weeks of the season strong!

If you want to see both the JV and Varsity teams in action come see us tonight at the Stevenson HS Co-Curricular fair! Varsity is on at 7:35pm and JV is the last performance of the night at 8:15pm! Both Groups will be performing a condensed version of their programs to fit into the demonstration area but it will still be a great way to see the excitement in action! If you are thinking of joining the program also visit us at our booth to ask questions and pick up information on clinic and audition dates that are coming up. We can not wait to meet any future members so do not be shy!
