Our second week of the LHS CLC program has been exceptional. Students are fully utilizing our open hours, resources, and activities. Many are participating in our art show, demonstrating their talents and craftsmanship. We have also successfully assisted students with job applications and securing interviews. A highlight of the week was an educational field trip to the State Capitol, where over 20 students explored the site, enjoyed a delightful lunch from Pita and Naan Restaurant, and wrote letters to State Senator George Dungan. This activity provided valuable civic engagement for students, parents, and staff.

📸 Here’s a photo dump from our first week of the CLC Summer ‘24 program at Lincoln High School! It’s been an incredible start, with our youth fully embracing the opportunities, especially the open hour activities and field trips.

This week, we went on two amazing field trips:
1. Our Skate Club visited the Hickman Skate Park, where students enjoyed exploring the area and skateboarding.
2. LHS and LNE students toured the Nebraska History Museum, diving into the history of Nebraska’s children and participating in engaging activities.

Students also enjoyed playing games and got a comprehensive tour of Nebraska’s rich history. We can’t wait to continue engaging with our students and enjoying more activities next week!

🎨 **Lincoln High CLC Art Exhibition Invitation** 🎨

We are thrilled to invite students, families, and the community to the Lincoln High CLC Art Exhibition on **June 28th from 1-5 PM** at Lincoln High School in the Cafeteria.

Our summer students have poured their hearts and creativity into their artwork, and they can’t wait to share their masterpieces with you. Join us for an afternoon of incredible art, delicious pizza, and refreshing beverages.

Let’s come together to celebrate and support these talented young artists. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

We also encourage students to join us in the cafeteria this summer to participate in this exciting art show. We have everything you need to show your creativity and create something you are passionate about. Come to the LHS cafeteria every day after Summer School until 5 PM to work on your art and prepare for June 28th.

We're excited to announce that the LHS CLC Summer Program is **free of charge** for all High Schoolers and Freshmen!

Everyone is welcome to participate and take advantage of our fantastic opportunities .

We are super excited 🥳🤩🥳 to start our LHS CLC summer programming today at 1PM in the Cafeteria. This summer will be filled with exciting activities and opportunities for you to enjoy and learn. Here is the most updated schedule for our summer programming. Please let us know if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you today and the rest of June. Our program is open for all High Schoolers and future freshmen.

Community Healing Garden club at LHS on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting next week led by Carol Flora. If you have a passion for gardening and would like to help out with LHS community Garden this summer, please join us every Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of June to help with maintenance and cleaning.
