Bluestem Montessori School

For nearly 10 years, Laura Roberts has poured her heart into building Bluestem Montessori School. Making it into the joyful, child-centered community it is today. As our founder, executive director, and Lead Elementary II teacher, she has fearlessly guided Bluestem through challenges, growth, and countless unforgettable moments, always putting children first.

And somehow, she still says “yes” when asked to donate her face to the annual Bluestem silent auction fundraiser. Where every year students bid to see who will get to paint her face and see their "artwork" in the classroom for an entire day. Congratulations to this year’s winner, Lizzie, who clearly understood the assignment and created an absolute masterpiece.

Thank you, Laura, for leading with courage, humor, compassion, and an unwavering belief in children. Bluestem is what it is because of you. Happy Birthday!
