Today was all about kicking off the new school year at GEMS! They learned about upcoming events, exciting opportunities, and what’s in store for the year ahead—and, of course, had plenty of fun playing games and connecting with one another!

Tonight was a special night as we celebrated our AVID Signing Night!
Students and parents came together to learn more about AVID, what it means to be an AVID student, and the commitment that comes with being part of the program. Families had the opportunity to ask questions, connect, and officially sign the AVID contract.

We are so excited to support our students as they set goals and prepare for college and career success!

Today, Assistant Principals Mr. Roman and Ms. Estes visited every period during PE to present on the Panther Way and our school expectations. 🐾
Students wrapped up by signing their commitment to stay Positive, Productive, and Professional! We’re proud of our Panthers for making this commitment and setting the tone for a great school year. ♥️ 🖤

GEMS-certificated staff are back and ready to kick off an amazing new school year! Today and yesterday, our team returned to school energized, excited, and ready to learn themselves so they can continue growing for our students.
And what better way to start the first Monday back than with a surprise welcome tunnel from some of our amazing student leaders! Mrs. Fernandez made sure our staff got the sweetest surprise bright and early. That reel being posted soon!

We’re feeling the love, the excitement, and all the possibilities that come with a new year! Here’s to a great one!

Today was a great day welcoming our new 6th grade Panthers! 🐾🖤 ♥️
Our GEMS Student Leadership team worked hard to plan and put on an amazing 6th Grade Orientation. From planning the activities to welcoming our newest Panthers, they showed incredible leadership, teamwork, and school spirit!
