Quality, Hourly Childcare in Lincoln

KidsPark of Lincoln is a unique hourly childcare center which offers day, evening and weekend care for children ages 18 months to 12 years old. The locally owned franchise opened June 4, 2015. KidsPark of Lincoln, is conveniently located on the Northeast corner of 14th & Old Cheney. The no reservations required center is open Monday through Thursday 7am - 10pm; Friday 7am - midnight; Saturday 10am - midnight; and Sunday 1pm- 6pm with private Birthday parties available Sunday mornings and evenings.

Childcare by the Hour
Exceeding state standards, KidsPark of Lincoln maintains a low child to staff ratio of 1:6 for children under the age of 3 and 1:10 for all other ages. Teachers must meet high quality experience and education standards, as well as passing extensive background and health checks. Our excellent teachers lead hourly activities including arts and crafts, games, stories, music, an indoor climbing structure, and outdoor play. For school age friends, called our Blue Crew, KidsPark stocks the latest kid-friendly video games, Legos, puzzles, Perler beads, friendship bracelet supplies, and reference materials for homework help if necessary. KidsPark also has our very own theater for movie nights and dance parties!

Our Rates
One Child -- $8.50 per hour
Two Siblings -- $13.00 per hour
Each Additional Sibling -- $3.00 per hour

Meals are $4.00 each and are served at Noon and 6:00pm. Snacks are complementary and are served at 10:00am, 3:00pm, and 8:00pm.

A day rate is available for visits between 7-10 hours. Daily rates are :$59.50 for one sibling or $91.00 for two siblings.

Discounts are available for police, fire, and military as well as LEA members.

Buddy Preschool Program
In addition to our hourly program, KidsPark offers a flexible Buddy Preschool program from 9:00am-11:30am Monday through Friday from Mid-August to Late May. The Buddy Preschool program provides hands on learning in literacy, science, art, sensory exploration, games, dramatic play, and more! Our preschool is great for children as early as 2 years of age through the start of Kindergarten. The flexibility of our drop-in program allows families to create a preschool schedule that works for them. Attend once a week or every day. Our program is a great first preschool experience, a complement to other programs, or a great fit for your regular preschool program. Our hourly program allows for flexible before and after preschool care--pick up and drop off when it’s convenient for you.

KidsPark

Background
KidsPark has been providing hourly childcare to families since 1988 in California. Our play space offers many entertaining and learning activities through a mix of teacher- organized and child- initiated activities in both group and individual settings. Kids choose. Play components are selected to promote cooperation, socialization, listening skills and motor development. Each month there are featured activities that include cooking, arts and crafts, sensory exploration or hands-on science.

Meet the Owner
Katie Krivolavek is a local mom with three children (6, 4, & 3). A former Lincoln Public Schools teacher, Katie first worked at the KidsPark center in Olathe, KS after receiving her degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Kansas. After earning her Elementary Education Certification from Ottawa University in Kansas City, Katie moved to the Lincoln, NE area with her husband Steve Krivolavek, a local chiropractor. Here she worked as an elementary school teacher before starting a family of her own. Shortly after having her 1st child, Katie quit her job as a teacher to spend more time with her young children.

After the birth of her second daughter, Katie saw a need for the drop-in services KidsPark offered in the Lincoln area. Because of her love for the brand and the unique services they offered, Katie decided to open a KidsPark franchise in summer of 2014. The center opened in June of 2015 and has been Lincoln’s leader in drop-in childcare ever since.
