Every day in 5th grade, students are moving around, partnering up with different classmates, and choosing flexible seating options—whether that’s working comfortably on the carpet, gathering around high-top tables, or collaborating at group desks. We are building strong teamwork skills step-by-step!

Here is a quick look at what we tackled together this week:
Math triads: Students grouped up in teams of three to practice comparing numbers, talking through their mathematical thinking, and challenging each other’s problem-solving.
Knowledge jigsaw activity: Students became "experts" on specific topics, then turned around to teach their newly mastered knowledge to their teammates. It was great to see them practice taking turns as the 'teacher.' Each group did it differently!
