Winner of the Governor's Arts Award, the Meadowlark Music Festival has been bringing world-class internationally renown music artists to Nebraska since 2000.

Bravo to the Lied Center for Performing Arts on their new expansion!!!

⭐We can finally share the news... we're BUILDING THE FUTURE of the Lied Center!

Today marked official groundbreaking on Building the Future, a $35 million privately funded addition and renovation to Nebraska’s Performing Arts Center. The project will include an iconic new entrance along Q Street, enhanced lobbies, a new studio theater, and numerous other enhancements.

All the details on the project, including renderings of the new and renovated spaces, are available at liedcenter.org/future.

“For over 35 years, the Lied Center has transformed lives and created memories that last a lifetime,” said Bill Stephan, Executive Director and Chief Artistic Officer of the Lied Center. “This project ensures the Lied Center is positioned for the future so we can continue thrilling audiences, inspiring young people and serving as one of the very best places to experience the ‘Good Life’ in Nebraska.”

Construction will occur over an 18 month period, with an anticipated completion date of fall 2027. Lied Center performances and programs will continue throughout construction.

Meadowlark Music Festival Finale – Today at 3:30 PM

This afternoon, we close out the 2025 Meadowlark Music Festival with a powerful performance by world-renowned saxophonist Greg Fishman.

Fishman brings his acclaimed Tribute to Stan Getz to the stage — a program he has performed across the globe from Singapore to Chicago. A respected performer, author, and educator, Fishman is one of the foremost interpreters of Getz’s work and brings decades of artistry, swing, and soul to every note.

Whether you’re a lifelong jazz fan or simply looking for an inspiring Sunday performance, this is the perfect way to end the weekend.

Featured performers include Jackie Allen, Christopher Neale, Dane Richeson, and a quartet of Brazilian musicians presenting new arrangements of rarely heard music by Johnny Alf.
