The Nebraska Chamber Foundation, in partnership with First Five Nebraska and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Bureau of Business Research, unveiled groundbreaking new research today that highlights the vital connection between access and Nebraska’s economic future.

Significant findings in "Unlocking Nebraska’s Potential: Child Care as a Key to Nebraska’s Economic Future," include:

🔹 $1.74 billion lost in business output annually due to inadequate childcare
🔹 $1.61 billion in lost labor income
🔹 Over 6,800 jobs lost due to workforce disruptions
🔹 Nebraska’s high labor force participation and strong birth rate signal a growing demand for accessible care
🔹 Childcare costs range from $9,000 to $15,000 per child annually
