For the past 2 years, I've been laying low on all social media along with most actual social settings to prioritize my health as much as possible. Some people in my life understand this, while others don't, and that's okay. I made a promise to myself a long time ago that regardless of what life throws at me or how much things change, Jiu Jitsu is an absolute non-negotiable for me. Lately, if anyone wants to see me regularly, they're gonna have to join me on the mats, and I am not sorry about it. I teach and train Jiu-Jitsu six days a week, work out six days a week, and maintain a full-time job. I eat clean, and go to bed early. My social life is Jiu-Jitsu. If yours isn't, well, I'll see you occasionally at best. Yesterday, I had the privilege of promoting my best friend and my girlfriend to blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I don't see them giving it up anytime soon. That's why I am not and never will be sorry. It may have taken over 15 years to get Matt out there, and, of course, what lured Moriah in was my immense charm and shockingly good looks. But I can't tell you how happy and humbled it makes me to award you your blue belts on the same day. You both make me better every day, both on and off the mats. Now, beat the odds and continue training after earning your blue belts, and I'll be impressed.💙🖤💙

With things beginning to open, its light at the end of the tunnel and this tunnel without jiu jitsu has been a long one for so many reasons. But, the comeback is close and its is going to be amazing. I swear I'm usually all smiles when I'm on the mats or anywhere else for that matter. must have found a way to p**s me off. Probably went for a wristlock or something. 😜

Since throwbacks are all thats available lately... The only photo of me as a white belt that I know of. I was just a goofy as***le at 21 years old, but at least I was receiving my 2nd stripe from the one and only Carlos Terrinha. From no belt to blackbelt there's nobody else I've trained under. I Wouldn't have it any other way... I guess almost 12 years later I'm still the same goofy as***le. Just a little more humbled and a little more focused. 🙏
