Not many people can say they have a piece of cosmic real estate named after them, but Francine Jackson '69 can! ☄️✨

Congratulations to Staff Astronomer Francine Jackson on her inclusion in Marquis Who's Who! This honor celebrates her incredible career as a teacher, writer, and planetarium educator.

Currently sharing the wonders of the universe at Brown University's Ladd Observatory, Francine has broken barriers for women in STEM her entire career. For 20 years, she dedicated her nights to teaching at NYC’s famous Hayden Planetarium—commuting by train from Rhode Island just to ensure she could educate the next generation of stargazers. 🚉🌌

Today, she continues to inspire as a NASA Solar System Ambassador, an author, and an advocate for dark sky preservation. Her impact is so profound that Asteroid 15022 officially bears her name: Francinejackson. 🪐

Dr. Justin D. Bibee '09 recently has been appointed to executive leadership as Director of Supported Housing Operations for the Community Support Program at Community Care Alliance. In this role, he oversees residential psychiatric housing, supported housing, and assisted living services throughout Providence County, providing strategic leadership to programs that support individuals living with serious mental illness and other behavioral health needs. As the youngest director within the department, Dr. Bibee continues his commitment to humanitarian service by leading initiatives that promote housing stability, recovery, and person-centered care for some of Rhode Island's most vulnerable residents.
