🎭👯‍♀️One of our most rewarding CarestArt projects is a musical theatre experience for adults with developmental disabilities. It's a partnership with VITAL Services, Inc. and Lincoln Children's Theatre, who we hire to work with the men and women to create a show. They're working on it as we speak and are preparing for a fun, informal performance at Vital Services on May 28.

Here's a pic from the last show 😍

Jackson was the only student who came to every one of Danny Reneau’s after-school art classes at Brownell Elementary. He wouldn’t have missed it for the world and was the most focused and ready to paint. He was respectful and well-behaved, causing no disruptions. He was there to paint, with dedication.

On Danny’s last day, he was struck by what one of Jackson’s teachers told him: that he came from a troubled home and had constant behavior issues. He was often in trouble and frequently found himself in the principal’s office. Both Danny and the teacher were shocked by their different experiences with Jackson at the art club.

The arts heal. They give struggle a calm voice and solace to pain. Help support the arts by giving to Give to Lincoln Day in the comments.
