Dr. Garcia has been named the recipient of the 2025 ASHE Leadership Award, which recognizes members who bring visibility and support to the field of higher education, demonstrate the impact of research on policy, and advance resources for research and training.

She and the other 2025 ASHE Award recipients will be recognized during a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 14, at the 50th Annual ASHE Conference in Denver, Colorado.
