Back when we were training at
Roseberry’s Martial Arts Center, before Lincoln Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Center had a place of its own.

A lot has changed in 14 years, but several of the people in this photo are still on the mats with us today.

Different room. Different belts. A few more miles on the bodies.

Farewell to Matt Frieda as he heads to Florida for his next adventure!

Matt has been a great student and training partner. And if you’ve watched the Nebraska Jiu-Jitsu Championship Elite Series, you’ve also heard him as the voice behind the action.

And because apparently leaving quietly wasn’t an option, Matt left us one final contribution, a custom Lincoln BJJ shower curtain.

Thanks for everything, Matt. Best of luck in Florida. The mats, and the shower, won’t be the same without you.

Labor Day will never be a Jiu-Jitsu holiday. The whole point of Labor Day is to give you a day off work so you can do something you actually enjoy.

And when you get right down to it, isn’t Jiu-Jitsu about the most enjoyable thing you can do?

Our newest Lincoln BJJ × FUJI Custom Competition Gi is officially available for pre-order.

Choose from White, Blue or Black, with custom Lincoln BJJ embroidery and the option to have your name embroidered on the back.

Adult: $199.95

These are pre-order only and will not be regularly stocked at the academy.

Bernardo is not only one of the most accomplished competitors in Jiu-Jitsu, he’s also known as an exceptional instructor with an ability to make high-level technique simple, and practical.
