What does it mean to be brave?

Does it mean climbing mountains and facing lions or is it really the ability to share our ideas in the company meeting? Why do we sweat and squirm at the prospect of being vulnerable enough to admit that there's a cycle of divorce and single parenthood in our family tree - and that you're desperate for that cycle to end with you but you don’t know how to talk about it.

At Starting Gate - I’m all about opening the gate to bravery. Founded in 2017 right before the birth of my first child, this business and these horses have pushed me so far outside my comfort zone I’ve had no choice but to learn what bravery is and how to practice it.

Mika, our founding horse, and Skat our newest teacher addition and me, Taylor Thompson, your facilitator, are so excited to help you on your journey to becoming brave.
