Carroll Catholic School Sixty-five years of educational excellence and character development! Thirty-two students graduated as the Class of 1962.

Carroll Catholic School is celebrating its 60th Anniversary in 2020, as the school opened its doors in the fall of 1961. Originally a school of first through eighth grade, kindergarten was added in the 1980s and preschool and prekindergarten in the following decades. Today’s students at Carroll Catholic enjoy the same rigorous education as in years past: centered around religious instruction, the core curriculum includes science, math, social studies, and language arts. Beyond the core, students are exposed to instruction in computers, music, art, and physical education. Our school gathers as one each week to celebrate Mass. Outside the classroom, students may take part in a variety of extracurricular activities: baseball, basketball, volleyball, cheer leading, track and field, scholastic bowl, band, chess, speech, student council, and choir.

πŸŽͺ🍎 National School Lunch Week at CCS! 🍿🌭

Did you know that National School Lunch Week was established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962? πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Our students had a blast celebrating this week with our Cafeteria Circus theme! 🎑 Each day brought a special treat, fun activities, and plenty of learning along the way. Ms. Frakes made sure the students learned interesting facts about National School Lunch Week, which we proudly displayed throughout the cafeteria. πŸ“š

A HUGE thank-you to Ms. Frakes for keeping our lunches hot, fresh, and delicious! ❀️ We are also so grateful for her wonderful volunteers and everyone who donated items to help make this week extra special. We couldn’t do it without you!

πŸŽ‰ Check out some of our contest winners and favorite moments from the week!

Dr. Luigi Carbone and Professor Stefano Margaritora have provided the following update on the Pope’s postoperative recovery:

This morning, the Holy Father underwent the blood tests and chest X-ray scheduled after surgery. The results confirm that his postoperative recovery is progressing normally: the values are within the expected range for the type of operation performed.

The Holy Father has undergone respiratory physiotherapy and has begun walking around his room. He has resumed eating normally and had breakfast and lunch.

His recovery is proceeding as expected.

Doctors at Gemelli Hospital removed a cancerous tumor from Pope Leo XIV’s right lung, according to the Holy See Press Office. The surgery was successful, with no complications, and the Holy Father has returned to his hospital room.
We ask the faithful to continue praying for Pope Leo’s recovery and for the doctors and staff caring for him. We also hold in prayer all who are living with cancer, their families, and those who care for them.
