Catch a sneak peek of the Winter Harbor Music Festival’s chamber music concerts tonight at 5pm at the Winter Harbor Yacht Club. I’ll be playing a movement from Mozart’s Flute Quartet in A Major.

I’m excited to share that I’ve received an Artist Project Grant from the Maine Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts to support professional development!

Over the next year, I’ll be taking private lessons with several outstanding violists and educators in Maine, with a focus on strengthening my technique, refining orchestral audition excerpts, and incorporating new musical approaches into my playing. I’m especially excited to bring what I learn back to my students in Lincoln.

Thank you to the Maine Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts for supporting this opportunity!

It’s opening night of Rossini’s comedy L’italiana in Algeri (Italian Girl in Algiers) with the Winter Harbor Music Festival. July 3 at 6pm and July 5 at 2pm at Hammond Hall.

This weekend I’m performing Karl Jenkins’ “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” with the Bagaduce Chorale. 🕊️🎻 4pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday at Ellsworth High School.

The Bangor Symphony Orchestra’s final Masterworks concert of the season, Our American Story, is tomorrow at 3PM, featuring music by Joan Tower, Aaron Copland, Valerie Coleman, and William Schuman, and closing with a suite of favorites from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. 🎶

It may be snowing, but today’s Bangor Symphony concert is a vibrant celebration of Spring! ❄️🌷🌿 We begin with the robust merrymaking of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Overture, followed by On a Spring Morning by Boulanger, a sweet short journey into the impressionist style. Next is Callirhoë by Chaminade, inspired by Venus, goddess of fertility. Finally, we end with Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, with one of the largest orchestras we have ever put on the stage of the Collins Center. Don’t miss it!
