Brenda A. Stout, 74, of Lincoln, passed away June 8, 2025, at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Brenda was born December 14, 1950, in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of Paul and Alice (Howerton) Grimsley. She enjoyed being with her family, going out to eat, and gong on car rides.
Survivors include her children: Marty (Danita) Steffens, Lawrence Steffens, and Justen Steffens; grandchildren: Brandon, Caleb, Briana, Connor, Caelyn, Alaina, James, Ciara, Olivia, Brendon, Kayla, Breanna, Ryan, and Alexandra; 5 great grandchildren; brother Larry (Debbie) Grimsley; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Center.

Last chance to RSVP for the 55th class reunion next week! Friday night is drop-in after the Homecoming parade but we need reservations for Saturday night’s catered meal.
The Homecoming football game is Friday night at 7:00 pm against Decatur Eisenhower. A group will be leaving the American Legion around 6:30 if you’re interested!
