Being a "Water Watcher" isn't complicated.
It's one adult whose job is to stay focused on the water, know where the children are, and be ready to respond if needed.
That means:
💦 Eyes on the water
📱 Phone nearby, but not in your hand
🛟 A flotation device within reach
📍 Knowing the address in case you need emergency help
👋 Clearly communicating when another adult takes over
The truth is, most adults care deeply and want children to be safe. The challenge is that when lots of people are around, it's easy to assume someone else is watching.
A dedicated Water Watcher helps remove that guesswork.

🌸🌼 Flowers you can eat? That sounds like our kind of learning! 🌼🌸
Our students combined creativity, fine motor skills, and snack time during this fun Flower Snack-tivity! Using crackers, cucumbers, and colorful cream cheese, they designed their very own edible flowers before enjoying their tasty creations.
Activities like this help children practice:

🥒 Trying new foods
🌼 Following directions
😊 Building confidence through hands-on learning

☀️🍦 Summer is finally here, and we’re kicking things off with a bucket list full of memory-making adventures!
Whether it’s building the world’s biggest blanket fort, sharing cookies with a neighbor, roasting marshmallows under the stars, or having ice cream for dinner (just this once 😉), summer is all about slowing down, spending time together, and making memories that last long after the season ends.

🌎✈️ Our “Around the World” summer theme is taking off and we’re bringing the adventure home with fun ways families can join in too! 💜
This summer, our students will explore countries, cultures, foods, music, traditions, landmarks, and celebrations from all around the globe. Each stop on our classroom journey is a chance to learn something new and celebrate the beauty of our big world. 🌍
Here are some easy ways to continue the adventure at home:
📚 Read stories from other countries
🗺️ Practice naming continents and countries
🥁 Explore music and dancing from different cultures
🍀 Learn about Irish traditions
🌺 Try Hawaiian dancing and island-inspired activities
🥨 Make soft pretzels inspired by Germany
🥐 Taste croissants and French treats
☕ Have an English-style tea party
🌮 Try tacos and churros inspired by Mexico
🍕 Make your own pizza night inspired by Italy
Learning about the world helps children grow curiosity, empathy, confidence, and connection. One tiny passport stamp at a time. 🧳✨

📣 Friendly Reminder for Our Preschool Families! 💜
Mack’s Preschool of Excellence will be CLOSED this Friday, June 5th for a teacher work day. ✏️🍎
Our teachers will be spending the day planning, preparing, organizing, and creating even more fun learning experiences for our students! Thank you for your understanding and continued support while we take time to pour back into our classrooms and curriculum. 🌈

🌍✈️ Around the World is BACK at Mack’s Preschool of Excellence! 💜
This June and July, our classrooms will become tiny passports to big adventures as we explore countries, cultures, traditions, foods, music, animals, landmarks, and celebrations from around the globe. 🌎
Throughout this special summer theme, students will:
🎶 Learn songs from different cultures
📚 Listen to stories from around the world
🍜 Try foods from different countries
🎨 Create cultural art projects
🗺️ Explore languages, traditions, and global celebrations
One of our favorite parts of this theme is helping children learn that the world is full of beautiful differences, traditions, and ways to connect with others. 🌈
We would LOVE your help making this experience even more meaningful! If your family has books, clothing, music, instruments, toys, photos, or cultural items connected to your heritage that you’d be willing to share or let us borrow, please let us know. ❤️
And to celebrate everything we learn together, we’ll be ending the theme with a multicultural potluck! More details coming soon 🍽️🌍

☀️ June is packed with sunshine, splash days, park adventures, and fun themed activities at Mack’s Preschool of Excellence! 💦🌳🍪
Here are a few important reminders and dates to keep on your radar this month:
🧴 Please apply sunscreen before arriving to school
👙 Water play days = swimwear, towel, swim shoes, and extra clothes
💧 All students need a water bottle that stays at school
🌳 We’ll be spending LOTS of time outside and visiting the park throughout the summer
👟 Closed-toe, secure shoes are highly encouraged for safe outdoor play
