“I was uncertain about joining a sorority at first, and as a new-member joining through the continuous open bidding process, I was nervous about being accepted. But, my sisters were so welcoming and my bid day buddies literally invited me to hang-out from the first time meeting me. Very quickly, I realized I had found my people. At Kappa Delta I’m surrounded by friends who are just as (if not more) ambitious, confident, and empathetic as I am, and they constantly push me to be the best version of myself. They’ve celebrated me in my successes such as my state pageant title and academics, studied with me for hard classes, mentored me personally and professionally like my grand-big, and helped me when I’ve had a bad day and just needed someone to vent to. I’m forever grateful I joined Kappa Delta because of how welcoming, well-rounded, and loyal all my sisters are.”

“Coming into college as an out of state student, I was really nervous about not knowing anyone and being so far from home, but when I joined Kappa Delta, I found those friends who made it feel like home. I never expected to find so many girls who share my same humor and interests, and I know they’ll always have my back and support me through anything. It’s truly a home away from home and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. All the girls in Kappa Delta have truly been what makes Kappa Delta feel like home, but it wouldn’t be Kappa Delta without Abby, Lauren, and Jaclynn, who have helped me grow as a person and showed me how to be confident. I can always be my authentic self around them and it’s always reciprocated, and I truly don’t know where I would be without them. I realized Kappa Delta was where I belonged during work week when a huge group of us would get together and watch TV at night because it felt like such a genuine community. The more I got to know these girls, the more I loved them, and sisterhood in Kappa Delta has come to mean lifelong friendship where no matter how much time passes, it always feels like no time has gone by. The women of Kappa Delta are genuine and confident, nobody has to put on a mask or be someone they aren’t, every personality is different but we all fit together, and of course it wouldn’t be Kappa Delta without endless laughter.”
