At Miles of Smiles, we celebrate each child’s journey, from the tiniest moments that matter most — first steps, the first successful jacket flip, potty training victories, shoe-tying triumphs, and those magical “aha!” moments.
Not everyone can spend their days helping little humans figure out and navigate the world around us. Those who can are pretty special! We know Lincoln is home to some pretty amazing early childhood teachers. We’re lucky to have some on our team already at Miles of Smiles Child Development Center, and we’re hoping to welcome a few more!

🍁 Preschool October Recap! 🍂
We’ve been busy this week with ALL things fall and Halloween-inspired learning! Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to:

🧪 Halloween Science:
We explored hot & cold water to rescue spiders and watch how temperatures mix! Not only was it a spooky-cool experiment, but all that pouring, scooping, pinching, and squeezing helped build the hand muscles we need long before we ever pick up a pencil!

🎨 Creative Art Explorations:
From LEGO stamp painting to puffy paint ghosts, we’ve been using all kinds of materials and techniques to create art! Exploring different textures, tools, and mediums helps children learn that art isn’t just about the final product—it’s about experimenting, imagining, and making something uniquely their own.

🍁 Leaf Name Art:
We used real fall leaves to decorate the letters in our names—combining alphabet recognition with nature-based art. Hands-on learning AND beautiful masterpieces? Yes please!

🌊 Sink or Float?
We gathered fall objects, made our hypotheses, and put them to the test! Will the pumpkin sink? Will the leaf float? Science + curiosity = a perfect fall classroom combo!

🍁 Pre-K October Recap! 🎃
October was full of fall fun in Pre-K! From decorative wreath crafts to spooky Halloween play, time enjoying the beautiful weather, and hands-on sensory and fine-motor activities, our days were packed with creativity and giggles. ✂️🍂👻✏️

We put fun front and center, while intentionally building in opportunities for children to learn through play — strengthening skills in early literacy, math, motor development, and social growth without them even realizing it. 💡✨

We learned, we laughed, we got messy — and we’re ready for more in November! 💛

Miles of Smiles Child Development Center is growing fast, and we are searching for the perfect fit for our AMAZING team! We’re currently looking for:

✨ Full-Time Pre-K Teacher - where curiosity leads and energy follows
✨ Full-Time Infant/Toddler Teacher – where baby giggles are basically currency
✨ Part-Time Afternoon Floater

💼 Full-Time Options:
• Monday–Friday schedule OR
• 4×10 hour shifts with one day off each week

Experience Preferred:
✔️ Minimum of 1 year classroom/childcare experience
✔️ A big heart, positive attitude, drive for connection & teamwork, and a love for learning are a must!
✔️ Must be 19 years or older for these positions
