Today in Elementary Chapel, Superintendent Matt Huseman shared more about this year’s theme, Unshaken, based on 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Mr. Huseman focused on two words from the verse: steadfast and immovable. He challenged students to think about what it looks like to remain loyal to Christ and firmly rooted in Him, even when the world around us tries to pull us in another direction.

Using the picture of a massive ship’s anchor, he reminded students that our lives need an anchor to keep us from drifting. When we place our faith and trust in Christ, we have an anchor for our souls.

Students also heard the story of missionary William Carey, who faithfully continued his work of translating the Bible even after a devastating fire destroyed years of his work. His life was a powerful example of what it means to remain steadfast, knowing that our labor for the Lord is never in vain.

What a gift it is that our students get to open God’s Word each day and learn from the ultimate source of Truth! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Crusader Classic Golf Scramble at Hillcrest Country Club yesterday! With 40 teams on the course, it was a fun day of golf, friendly competition, and time together.

Our littlest Crusaders are back! 💙

Our youngest students have officially begun their first days of preschool at LCS! From meeting new friends and teachers to exploring their classrooms, learning new routines, and discovering through play, there have already been plenty of smiles and new experiences.

In our preschool classrooms, learning is about both heart and mind. Students are learning to work together, follow directions, explore the world around them, and build foundational skills that will prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. Most importantly, they are learning about God, His love for them, and how to love one another.

Through our Discovery and Academy programs, we seek to Empower, Educate, and Equip our youngest Crusaders as they learn and grow throughout the year.

Here’s to a wonderful year of learning, friendships, discovery, and lots of fun!

Our Elementary students gathered for their first chapel of the 2026-2027 school year! 💙🦁

Principal Ben Manley shared the Gospel with our students, using simple illustrations and motions to help them understand the good news of Jesus.

Students learned how sin separates us from God, but because of His great love for us, God provided a way to restore that relationship through His Son. Jesus lived the perfect life we could not live and gave His life for us, offering the gift of salvation that we can receive through faith in Him.

What a meaningful way to begin our chapel time this year - centered on the truth of the Gospel and the incredible love God has for us!

The Class of 2027 just got back from their senior retreat at Camp Rivercrest, and they’re ready to lead. They spent the weekend digging into this year’s theme verse, talking through what leadership looks like for their final year, and bonding as a class before it all kicks off. We are so excited to see how God uses these seniors to lead our school this year!
