Calling all Pomalink alumni! LHS wants you!
Classmates, please ignore any requests you received today for updated addresses. It looks like we had some strangers get on the page and start spamming people. I think I’ve blocked and deleted them. Thanks!

The advisor to the LHS Advocate, Will West, is looking for alums to help contribute to stories for the newspaper by sharing their stories about high school memories, what you did, where you went, what you are doing now. The following is an email from Mr. West about the project. It sounds like fun and they may use your story in an upcoming edition! If you’re interested, email Mr. West at [email protected].
“As the newest advisor of The Advocate, and a first time newspaper advisor trying to revive a near-gone newspaper, I want to get some regular columns added to The Advocate. One of those columns, and the one that I'm asking for your help with, is a column called "Links World Wide", that's the working title right now, it may change 100 times between now and tomorrow, and the students will ultimately decide upon the name of the column.
In this column, what I'd ideally like is to have the students do some research (on/with you) about life at LHS when you were a student at LHS, and then talk about post-high school and what you did, where you went, and what you do now. I'd (ideally) like to have a current and a hs picture as well -- we can probably find that from the copies of the yearbooks, but not the current photos.
What I'm going to do is this:
1. I'm creating a database that you'll input your information into. Just basic information (name, email, class of, upload picture (or several), list your clubs/extracurriculars, etc) so we have a basic knowledge of the people who are willing and interested in being part of this.
2. I'll assign student columnists to select people from the database, and from there, they'll reach out and start the writing process. The interviews, as I've already informed them, will be more like "story telling sessions"... they don't need to inundate you with questions -- it's just more of an opportunity for you to tell us about life at and since The High.
3. Once they've completed the interview process, they'll begin piecing together the column and begin the editing process.
4. 2 or 3 times a week, we'll publish the column on the website, www.lhsadvocate.com.”
