A group of children helped pick some bite-sized Mexican sour gherkins (cucamelons). Ms. LaRinda had brought a small plant to try out in our garden this year, and it has grown so much and produced well! We brought in our harvest and enjoyed them as a snack.

Welcome to the Mixer Machine! 🌀🌿

These two friends were having a blast putting their big-body muscles to work as they gathered and tossed anything they could find into their outdoor “mixer.”

But they were doing so much more than mixing! As they climbed, balanced on logs and branches, lifted, carried, and tossed, they were building strength, coordination, balance, and body awareness—all important gross motor skills.

And the best part? They were working together toward a shared goal, practicing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving along the way.

Sometimes the best learning happens when children are simply given the space, materials, and freedom to move, explore, and create together. 🌱💚

Every gift to Dimensions makes a meaningful difference. Thanks to the generosity of a recent donor, our youngest learners now have a door that leads directly from their indoor classroom to their Nature Explore outdoor classroom. This new door, once a window, has been a long-time dream and makes getting outside so much easier throughout the day!

“Officially transition time! This week we’ve been taking the children to the preschool Nature Explore Classroom to spend some time in that big, new space and to play side by side with the current preschoolers. All of the children really shined out there and showed us just how ready they are. They made SO many plans, played with new friends, cleaned up after themselves, and talked with their new teachers. We also got to spend some time in each indoor classroom as well! Toddlerland won’t be the same without these sweet big kids. “Visiting our Dimensions garden has become a highlight of our days. On Friday, we checked out the cucumbers, sunflowers, tomatoes, broccoli, and beans. We picked some cucumbers and broccoli on this trip to the garden and brought them in to have for our snack. There is a small orchard with apple, peach, and pear trees. At Dimensions Education Programs, we believe childhood is rooted in relationships, curiosity, play, and time in nature. We're looking for a full-time Preschool Educator who shares those values and is excited to grow alongside children, families, and fellow educators.

Who we're looking for:
• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• We'll consider equivalent experience for the right fit.
• Recent graduates—and those who are close to graduating with full-time availability—are encouraged to apply!

This morning, families and staff gathered by our pollinator garden to celebrate International Mud Day! Programs from around the globe are celebrating this special muddy day filled with splashing, rolling, squishing, sliding, making mud pies, and more!

Thank you to those who donated dirt, flowers, and botanicals that made our celebration EXTRA fun and special.

Dimensions is proud to be a partner of the World Forum Foundation and is dedicated to inspiring and supporting communities to connect children with nature every day through our Nature Explore program!
