COPE Ministry Children of Pokot Educational Fund COPE was founded in 1997. The organization's headquarters is located in Lincoln, IL.

The African mission is located in Tapadany, Pokot, Kenya. The purpose of the organization is to provide a Christian education to the children of the Pokot tribe located in Kenya. The ultimate goal of COPE is to bring each of the Pokot children and adults to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Since 1997, the mission has grown and developed and become a center for the community, teaching Christian beliefs and ethics.

One of our sponsors supports multiple children and they asked if they could have a picture of them all together… Of course!!! We love accommodating things like this because these kids are here with us every day and we love helping foster their relationships with their sponsor however we can.

The drought in Pokot has been devastating. Families invest so much into their corn hoping it will sustain them through the next season. The corn has all but failed in the majority of our region. This also means the prices of corn is going to skyrocket soon. Ground corn is the primary ingredient in ugali and ugi, the two staple foods in Pokot. Everyone is scared. Please pray for our community. If you know of someone who might be interested in partnering with us to purchase ground corn in bulk for our employees/community before the prices shoot up, please let us know! We are trying to help anyway we can. ❤️

This is the home of one of our retired employees. She is raising 7 of her grandchildren. She and all 7 children share this space. She is on our waiting list for assistance to expand her living space. When you give towards our community assistance fund, we are able to use that money to help improve the lives of people in our community like this woman and her grandchildren.
