On October 1–2, emerging scholars came together for two days of meaningful conversations, research exchange, mentorship, and new connections through the Doctoral Scholars Institute.

From research and academic publishing to leadership, organizational management, and research-to-practice collaboration, DSI created space for scholars to learn from one another and strengthen their professional networks.

We’re proud to celebrate this community and the ideas and connections that will continue beyond the Institute.

Meet Jennifer Lundman, Founder & CEO of the Institute for Behavior Change, whose work brings a macro-practice perspective to systems strategy, workforce development, professional education, and mission-driven entrepreneurship.
At the 5th Annual NSWM Forward Thinking Summit, Jennifer will present:
“The Three-Engine Model for Mission-Driven Social Work Enterprise”
This session introduces entrepreneurship as ecosystem design and explores how three complementary functions—systems strategy and evidence, professional formation and practice excellence, and equity-centered investment—can work together to support sustainable systems change.

With experience across education, psychiatric social work, nonprofit leadership, and higher education, Whitney brings a strong interdisciplinary and community-engaged perspective to her work. She also serves in doctoral student leadership with the SSWR Board of Directors.
