The NSA at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is delighted to invite you to our बडा दशैँ २०८२ Celebration in Lincoln, NE.

We welcome you to join us as we celebrate with:

Time: 2 PM Sharp (come earlier)
Registration Fee: $20 (Required by September 31, 2025)
Fee waivers are available for undergraduate students who are unable to pay. Please contact us.

The Nepalese Student Association (NSA) is excited to initiate the transition process for forming our next executive committee. While it has not yet been a full year since the current team assumed responsibilities, we believe that beginning this process in the spring will provide ample time for the incoming team to plan, prepare, and continue our tradition of excellence—especially for major cultural events such as Dashain and Tihar.

We encourage all members to consider nominating themselves or someone they believe would be a strong fit for the following positions via the Google Form linked below:

Our goal is to officially hand over responsibilities at the Spring BBQ event. Should any changes arise, we will communicate a new date and location accordingly.

Join us for an afternoon of:
• Delicious BBQ (veg & non-veg: chicken, pork, paneer, mushrooms)
• Chatpate
• Soft drinks
• Music & games (weather/time permitting)

Open to: All UNL students, faculty, nearby colleges & the Nepali community in Lincoln
No registration fee!

Bring along: Mats, chairs, or instruments (guitar, madal, harmonium, speakers, etc.)

Dear All,

Emeritus Professors Sylvia Wiegand and Roger Wiegand from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Department of Mathematics (Roger Wiegand is also the professor of Bhandari ) are kindly hosting a “Special Social Gathering for the Nepali community in Lincoln”, in coordination with NSA.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the Wiegand family and fellow members of the Nepali community, share experiences, and enjoy light refreshments. Professors Sylvia and Roger have a deep appreciation for Nepali culture and people. They have visited Nepal several times and have hosted similar gatherings in past years. They were also enthusiastic participants in our Teej celebration last year.
