Launch! is a year-long program that teaches a team of high-school students and their teacher to plan, create, and launch a real-world company from the school. We bring the entrepreneurial mindset and process to the classroom and give permission for students and teachers to become entrepreneurs.

Advance CTE has recently shared the new modernized National Career Clusters Framework. The next critical step in this work is for agriculture educators, administrators, agricultural education leaders and ag industry representatives to provide feedback for changes to the draft framework through a national survey by Sunday, July 7. Teachers are busy using some of their summer to gain content knowledge and resources for their classroom! CASE Animal Science, is being held this week at Lakeview High School. Mrs. Kris Spath and Ms. Kaydie Brandl are leading this exciting training! Thank you the UNL Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication Department for coordinating and Nebraska FFA Foundation and the Nebraska Soybean Board for providing scholarships for teachers!

Citizen Science and Environmental Education Showcase: Empowering Youth, Inspiring Civic Action - Event taking place on from 9 am to 5 pm on July 25, at the UNL City Campus Ballroom. Join other educators who will present innovative methods for guiding students to understand the impact of water quality on public health, environmental issues on local communitites and pathways for active youth civil engagement. Dr. Allen G. and Kay L. Blezek Teacher Retention Award applications are now open! Through a generous bequest from Dr. Allen G. Blezek, the Teacher Retention Award is available to support the continuation and growth of vibrant Agricultural Education and FFA programs in Nebraska. Selected applicants will receive awards of $1,000 to $1,500. Current Nebraska Agricultural Education teachers who are entering their first through fifth year of teaching are encouraged to apply at https://nefbfoundation.org/awards/ - a Farm Bureau membership is required to apply.
